Continual Repentance Leads
to Eternal Life
VERSES THAT CONFLICTS WITH OSAS:
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter
into that rest, lest any
man fall after
the same
example of unbelief.
2Pe 1:9 But he
that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that
he was purged from his old sins.
2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give
diligence to make your
calling and election sure: for if ye
do these things, ye shall never fall:
2Pe 1:11 For so an entrance shall
be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ.
2Pe 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be
diligent that ye
may be found of him in peace, without
spot,
and blameless.
2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even
as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath
written unto you;
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of
these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they
that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures,
unto their own destruction.
2Pe 3:17 Ye
therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest
ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from
your own stedfastness.
2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as
ye have always obeyed, not
as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work
out your
own salvation with fear and trembling.
1Co 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall
I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God
forbid.
1Co 6:16 What? know ye not that he
which is joined to an harlot is one body? for
two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1Co 6:18 Flee
fornication. Every
sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication
sinneth against his own body.
1Co 6:19 What?
know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in
you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify
God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1Co 3:16 Know
ye not that ye
are the temple of God, and
that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17 If
any man defile the
temple of God, him
shall God destroy; for
the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
1Co 3:18 Let
no man deceive himself.
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but
are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear
him which
is able to destroy
both soul and body in hell.
Jas 5:19 Brethren, if
any of you do err
from the truth,
and one convert him;
Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth
the sinner from
the error of his way shall save
a soul from
death, and
shall hide a multitude of sins.
Rev 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith
he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy
works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Rev 3:2 Be
watchful,
and strengthen
the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not
found thy works perfect before God.
Rev 3:3 Remember therefore
how thou hast received and heard, and hold
fast, and repent. If therefore
thou shalt not
watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and
thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Rev 3:4 Thou hast a few
names even
in Sardis which have not
defiled their
garments;
and they shall
walk with me in white: for
they are worthy.
Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be
clothed in white raiment; and I will not
blot out his name out of the book of life, but
I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Rev 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what
the Spirit
saith unto the churches.
(The letter above was written to BELIEVERS in the church of
Sardis).
Luk 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are
there few that be saved? And
he said unto them,
Luk 13:24 Strive to
enter in at the strait gate: for many,
I say unto
you, will
seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luk 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to
the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the
door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto
you, I know you not whence ye are:
Luk 13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We
have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Luk 13:27 But he shall say, I
tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers
of iniquity.
Mat 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not
commit adultery:
Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on
a woman to lust after her hath committed
adultery with her already in his heart.
Mat 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck
it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy
members should perish, and not that thy
whole body should be cast into hell.
Mat 5:30 And if thy
right hand offend thee, cut
it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy
members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into
hell.
...
Bottom line, where there is no repentance, there is no
salvation.
Col 2:6 As ye
have therefore received
Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk
ye in him:
(In the same way you received Christ... how? By repentance... so walk ye in
Him... meaning, in the same way you first received Christ, continue in the
same way in Him, always repenting and turning away from sin.)
Rom 3:24 Being
justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ
Jesus:
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his
blood, to
declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are PAST, through
the forbearance of God;
According to Scriptures, PAST sins are forgiven, not future.
We do not worry about the future, we worry about the
HERE and NOW. Are we sinning? STOP! Repent and resist. Walk holy. Live holy.
If we do not -
Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men,
and holiness, without
which no man shall see the Lord:
Heb 12:15 Looking diligently lest any
man fail of
the grace of God; lest any
root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many
be defiled;
Heb 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for
one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Heb 12:17 For ye
know how that afterward, when
he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for
he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with
tears.
...
When Jesus says It
is FINISHED, He is referring
to the physical presence of the High Priest and the physical temple building
where sacrifices are needed for the remission of sins. Why? Because He now
takes on the role of the High Priest in the heavenlies, and our
bodies are now the temple of God where God resides in us,
and we are admonished to continue to approach
Him in faith for remission
of sins,
our duty still
remains the same, if we
do not continually repent and approach Him, He will not forgive
us our present sins:
1Jn 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare
unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1Jn 1:6 If we
say that we have fellowship
with him, and walk
in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth
us from all sin.
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth
is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If
we confess our sins, he
is faithful
and just to forgive
us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Bottom line is, God
is holy and cannot stand sin, whether
it be in a believer or an unbeliever. Sin
has no place in Him. Sin
has no place in heaven. You
cannot say you believe in God and expect to go to heaven if you hold to
some kind of sin (whether in your mind, or in action). Let
sin go, and follow Christ. The way to
Christ is narrow. There
are few that
be saved. The way
of salvation is
to be strived
at, continually, all
the days of our life on this earth.
